Transplanted from the northwest suburbs of Chicago into South Florida over a decade ago, Keith first moved to Coconut Creek before planting himself in Miami Beach. Living only two blocks from the garden, Keith always looked in and shared in the harvests of vegetables from friends’ plots. But in 2015, he finally decided to get his own plot. Having grown vegetables from a youngster in Chicago at age 6 until the time he lived in Coconut Creek, it was good to start again in the South Beach Victory Garden.
Keith’s educational experience is Bachelor of Commerce with majors in Finance and Economics from DePaul University. Then holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from Roosevelt University. Work experience includes a market research firm focused on customer satisfaction measurement and analysis.
You will often see Keith south of fifth with his Weimaraner, Chance, and in company with other dogs he walks. He has been involved with numerous professional marketing associations serving as their President and Treasurer over the years. Currently, he is treasurer for South Florida Interactive Marketing Association. He regularly meets with previous students of his from Johnson and Wales University to further assist them in their budding careers. In the garden, you will see his plot having mostly Asian greens and vegetable varieties.
